CCAB's core objective is to promote and protect the CCAB qualified accountant brand by:

identifying and keeping a watching brief on emerging and current issues (relevant to business, practice or both) where it will be more effective for the UK and Irish profession to work collectively;
providing a forum for considering issues and making joint approaches to government and other authorities, both national and international;
providing a mechanism for representing the views of the UK and Irish profession to international standard setters and regulators;
recommending and, where appropriate, making appointments to international organisations and reviewing systematically the performance of those appointed; and
facilitating joint technical work.
