New CCAB resources on the Ethical Use of AI

The CCAB Ethics Group has created a new AI hub, which pools together helpful resources for professional accountants in relation to AI and Ethics, which have been created by its constituent member bodies.

In addition to a range of guidance and checklists, the Hub contains a series of ethical leadership podcasts discussing the use of AI by the profession; a draft Statement to the Profession on the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence, and six draft Case Studies on AI and Ethics.

The six draft case studies cover a range of scenarios in which professional accountants are likely to use AI in their practice, and cover a broad aspect of practice, including professional accountants working in firms and industry, public sector and academia and those holding non-executive positions.

The CCAB Ethics Group is keen to engage with the profession on its use of AI, and the focus of these resources is on using AI ethically, to complement the risk-based approach often applied in the sector.

The CCAB Ethics Group invites comments on the draft Statement, and the suggested solutions to the case studies. These can be provided by filling in the brief survey on the AI Hub.
